Featuring 6 bedrooms, including two nearby private suites and a tiny cottage, situated on a 12,000+/- square foot street-to-street gated and completely private and fenced lot, you can either arrive by meandering through the beautiful European style gardens up to the main entrance, or up the stone stairs from the parking area and two-car garage (now converted into two separate guest suites). The estate faces southwest and sits in the sun belt which brings with it amazing sunset views.

Every room in this house has a view of the majestic Mount Tamalpais, which the locals refer to as Mt. Tam. The Main House great room has 14' ceilings with 100+ year old beams, quality finishes and excellent craftsmanship, including an antique marble fireplace from France. The French doors open to a charming stone view terrace, perfect for cocktails and the sunset (or coffee and sunrise), before dining under the grape-vined arbor on the spacious lower terrace. Built-in sound system in main house, and two new 77" OLED televisions (in great room and master bedroom offering Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc only). The gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the great room. This home also offers A/C, rare here in Marin.

The open-concept space includes a top of the line chef's kitchen featuring a Le Cornfe oven/range, Thermador refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and custom cabinetry with hand faux finishes, French limestone counter tops, and island with 6 stools for overflow guests dining at the 8-person dining room table.

Also on the main level, down the light-filled hallway from the great room, there are two bedrooms, both with built-in desks. The first guest bedroom features a queen bed, hand-painted headboard, and full view of Mt. Tam. The second guest bedroom has an en-suite full bathroom, Mt. Tam view, hand-painted details, and currently features a very comfy full-size bunk bed, good for young people or youthful adults. Additional guest full bath, and laundry room on main floor with extra storage areas.

Upstairs, the master suite is a sanctuary complete with king-sized bed, sitting area, balcony to enjoy the expansive Mt. Tam views, huge walk-in closet, and its nearby oversized master bath with separate claw foot tub, glass rain shower, commode, and antique stone heated floors. You will not want to leave this gorgeous space!

Terraced surrounding the heated saltwater pool invite you to enjoy the picturesque gardens adorned with roses, cypress, olive and lemon trees, encircling the wonderful pool and additional entertaining areas.

Newly constructed cabana 3/4 bathroom is accessible by the pool, for use by guests staying in the two Suites or in the tiny cottage (with convertible couch and desk). Also by the pool is an outdoor kitchen with sink, granite countertops, outdoor fridge, Kamado Joe and Lynx gas grills, exterior shower, sound system, electricity and lighting.

Each private access guest suite features a queen bed, sitting area, microwave, freezer, and mini fridge. All six bed linens are allergen proof.

Woodlands and Mollie Stones markets are one mile away, and restaurants Guesthouse, Half Day Cafe, and Rio Rock Acai Cafe are walking distance. Also nearby are the popular wedding destinations Marin Art & Garden Center and the San Francisco Theological Seminary, and College of Marin, as well as the charming town of San Anselmo with its coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, salons, library, and George Lucas' Imagination Park. West Marin, Berkeley, Sonoma County and downtown San Francisco are less than an hour away. Car is recommended (owners' cars, Tesla X100D and BMW X5, may be available for guest use with additional fee and your own personal insurance, upon pre-approval). A Tesla EV charger is located in the parking area.

The homeowners are Swedish and Japanese with three children. As is traditional in their cultures of origin, this family and their guests remove their shoes upon arrival. They take great care to keep the home clean and fresh with a clutter-free yet welcoming decorating aesthetic. With additional pet fee, 1-2 short-haired, non-shedding dog(s) weighing fewer than 70 pounds each will be considered in this allergen-free maintained home.

Weekly gardening and pool service is included. We can assist to provide you with a housekeeper for a separate fee. 3 adult bikes, 3 kayaks, 2 highchairs, a crib and children's toys are available to guests. Safety features include exterior lighting, carbon-monoxide and smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and a first-aid kit (and Marin General Hospital is a five minute drive away).
