The space
Our recently remodeled mid-century home has all the comforts you'll want for your stay in Mill Valley, with plenty of space for a relaxing visit with friends and family. With four bedrooms, two large communal spaces, an open plan layout, and indoor/outdoor living, this house is a perfect base for exploring Marin County, San Francisco and wine country.
This fully-fenced home is a safe, super functional family-friendly space, with an emphasis on FUN.
Furnishings and decor are chic, simple, timeless: a combination of Room & Board, Crate & Barrel and BluDot plus eclectic vintage retro finds and original art. Two couches invite groups to gather together in front of the fireplace or large-screen TV. Both bathrooms feature Duravit fixtures, plenty of fresh towels, and guest toiletries. Kitchen features a marble counter, walnut built-ins, Bosch appliances (including a 5-burner gas stove), Sonos sound system, and everything you need to prepare meals for up to eight guests. All four beds have brand new all-cotton bedding for a restful night's sleep (or that post-hike catnap). Laundry machines are located off the kitchen--in the garage, which is not available for guests unless requested and approved in advance.
The 8-seated pool patio table, next to the outdoor kitchen grill space, is an extension of the vibe inside the house: simple, accommodating, a welcome place to gather for good times.
Bonus: Vintage Ms. Pac-Man video arcade game console (yes, it still works and is coin-free!) and the 1960s-era rolling bar includes retro glassware and classic cocktail recipe books.
Within walking distance are Whole Foods, a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, banks and the post office (two blocks), and the incredible Community Center (with activities, classes and events) is a ten minute walk or bike ride away. All of this, under the gaze of the majestic Mount Tamalpais ("Mount Tam") and just ten minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
